Natalia Chornohub highlights how hybrid threats, sanctions evasion, and cross-border criminal networks are transforming the requirements for modern due diligence and risk assessment. She explains that traditional background checks based on local company registers and basic online research are no longer sufficient, as ownership structures, political influence, and illicit activities increasingly span multiple jurisdictions.
